Podcasts
The podcasts is refer to as a non- musical audio or video broadcast that it placed over the internet, the delivery method is mostly through RSS.
The podcast that I found to be interesting is one relating to the library of congress called Geraldine Brooks: Book Festival 08 and the information is given by the author Geraldine Brooks concerning facts about her writing and herself of how she relates to writing and how she likes to fill in details concerning different areas. There were many different podcasts relating to book festival I found this one interesting.

I believe that these would be helpful in a library because is allows people to communication from around the world with each other without having to wait weeks to get responses back like with normal post mail.
It allows old friends to communicate with each other if they move and keep in contact.
It related more to people because it is easy and fun as well as it gives you the chance to meet new people from around the world share information, pictures, adventures.
Within school libraries it would allow the students to talk to other students of different schools all around the world it opens up a lot to people because the internet it use more than any other type of communication.
People feel more comfortable with using the internet to communicate then they do with any other type of communications available and allows people to learn about things that they didn’t know and it lets them tell there story of what they have done, where they have been, who they have seen etc.

Presentation of flickr
I have selected to do Flickr for my presentation because I found this site to be helpful and appropriate to be used in different libraries. Within libraries I believe that it is important to have available something that allows people to share what has been happening in their lives and interesting things that they have found and flickr is great to do that.
It allows people to communicate about things that they had experienced that they want to share, i believe that it will be helpful in school libraries because it would give students the chance to take pictures of trips, hoildays and events that they have participated in and discuss them online and have fun with it.

Exploring this site, I found that it is helpful and fun because you can customise it to your own needs, adding features that you will use for examples there is weather, maps, Gmail, translations, horoscopes you can also add games and lots of other interesting options and gadgets that there are available.
You can select areas that interest you and there are related gadgets to help you find out more of what you are looking for.
The way that it is set is fun and festive, giving you a calm happy feel when you access this site.

Tagging is an open and informal method of categorising that gives people the chance to relate keywords to online content examples are webpages, pictures and post.
The Del.icio.us. web site gives the chance to view bookmarks of a wide range of areas that may interest different people, it allows people to find information and other websites easy because they have the option of selecting an tag then they are given related tages that gives more details concerning what they are looking for.
The twitter fan wiki allows people to view what others are doing allowing people help with finding information, you can select an option and it gives you funa nd interest facts and images to read through and view depending on what you are looking for.

The tour around flickr allowed become more aware of what this site has available to people, while touring i was able to view some beautiful pictures that people had placed on there flickr account, on the home page it allows you to select an area of interest that you would like to view pictures about.

Bloglines
The RSS i find is an important factor when you are looking for information on different subjects areas because it gives you updated regularly information across the world wide web, it also allows you to search without being loaded up with adds while you are searching for information.
This will be an big help with any thing that i will want to search for information on different areas of interest to me, it will load quicker with out all the adds popping up while you are reading through information, easy to find the correct information without distractions.
Within Libraries it will make it easy for people to find what they are looking for and allowing the computers to load without extra programs needing to load and stopping the program that was already trying to load.
